Abram worshipped the LORD. He came back to the same place where God blessed him. Remembering our past will prompt us into worshipping the Lord. Perhaps our past reminds us of God's grace in not treating us as a sinner, but as a grace receiver. Perhaps, we see how God had wonderfully provide and protect us. This might be the reason why Abram was at peace even when Lot took advantage of him. Can I?
Their wealthy became a problem to them and they needed to settle in 2 places. However, God promised Abram the whole area and then he built an altar to the LORD there. God gave Abram what he settled with Lot. He is One Who settles the deal.
2. Lot did not chose the land of Sodom, for they were wicked against the LORD. But, how about next to it? Over all, it is a fertile land. I only need to watch out. Do I overestimate my temptation because of its benefits?
