Daniel 2: 31-45

 Ob and In:

1. The general description of the statue-great, impressive size, and extraordinary brightness, and caused alarm.

2. The great status was made of different materials in different parts of the body. They are not of the same strength, while the weakest part is on the feet v.33. While the great, impressive size status depends the most on the bottom, but it is the weakest.

44a In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people.

The kgd of mankind is seen as one single entity. The older kingdoms were left to another people from the newer one. However, sometimes they were left to inferior one v.39a, and sometimes they would be able to rule in all the earth  39b. Sometimes they were a great destroyer with great strength v.40, but their successor could only maintain a divided kingdom with some of the strength remained v.41

Summary and Reflection: Mankind may seem to be successful, but we do not last. We cannot control who is our successor. Human history eventually would come to an end and weakest of all time will for sure to come. The weakness comes from the the people will be mixed, without adhering to one another. Perhaps racism is the problem.

Do I fear man more than God? How can I bear this in mind and fear God more than man? Daniel did not fear the king of Nebuchadnezzar, the gold head. Why do I fear the half-clay half-iron feet?

3. The stone not by man-made hit the statues on its feet and broke the whole statues v.35. The stone is smart and the victory is complete and no turning back because no trace of the pieces could be found v.35. The stone itself became a large mountain that filled the entire earth. The statue was tall, but the stone's dominion was the greatest.

44b It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.
