1:22-2:3
(BKC) The response of holy living that should result from the new birth is now applied to three areas. Obedience to the truth purifies and produces (a) a sincere love for the brethren (1:22–25), (b) repentance from sin (2:1), and (c) a desire for spiritual growth (2:2).
1 Peter 1:22
CUVNP你們既因順從真理,潔淨了自己的心,以致愛弟兄沒有虛假,就當從心裏彼此切實相愛。
NETYou have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart.
1 Peter 1:23
CUVNP你們蒙了重生,不是由於能壞的種子,乃是由於不能壞的種子,是藉著上帝活潑常存的道。
NETYou have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 Peter 1:24
CUVNP因為 凡有血氣的,盡都如草; 他的美榮都像草上的花。 草必枯乾,花必凋謝;
NETFor all flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of the grass; the grass withers and the flower falls off,

1 Peter 1:25

1 Peter 2:1

1 Peter 2:2

NETAnd yearn like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, (NET) The word for spiritual in Greek is λογικός (logikos), which is a play on words with the reference in 1:23–25 to the living and enduring word (λόγος, logos) of God, through which they were born anew. This is a subtle indication that the nourishment for their growth must be the word of God so that by it you may grow up to salvation, (NET) Or “in, in regard to.” But the focus of “salvation” here, as in 1:5, 9, is the future deliverance of these who have been born anew and protected by God’s power.
1 Peter 2:3
CUVNP你們若嘗過主恩的滋味,就必如此。
NETif you have experienced the Lord’s kindness.
