Chapter 1-2
Observation and Interpretation:The LORD spoke to Moses to (1) appoint the leaders of the 12 tribes;(2)assign their responsibility to count; (3) camp according to their emblems (each emblem had their own lead tribe); (4) travel order according to the emblems.
After (1) was done, the leaders would help to do (2). When (1) and (2) were done, (3) and (4) would be easy to organize.
God has singled out Levites for their responsibility to the tabernacle. The purpose is not to let others come close 1:51 and the LORD's anger will not fall on the Israelites community 1:52.
In the location of the camp, and the order of moving, the Levites and the tabernacle were at the center. Their work, worshipping God, is central to their nation.
Result: Moses obeyed God 1:19 and the Israelites obeyed 1:54, 2:34. When the leaders obeyed God according to what Moses told them, everyone obeyed God.

Application: Do I trust God in the order He gave me to organize my life? e.g. (1) Jesus first, others second, myself last. (2) Jesus is the head of the church and we are His body (3) Husband is the head of the wife. Do I pray for my leaders so that they will obey God and lead me the right direction?
Do I make worshipping the center of my life and not let other things to "touch" my schedule?
