Main point:
This event happened immediately after the calling of the disciples in the end of chapter 1 2:1. Also, the result of the miracle was the reveal of Jesus’ glory and then His disciples believed in Him. Jesus’ ministry had just begun. Therefore He addressed His mother in a new way, “woman.” (See NET notes in v.4). Mary also sensed the new beginning and therefore, she prompted Jesus to perform this miracle to show His glory. That explained why Jesus reminded her that He has His own timing to fully reveal His glorication (“My time”-see NET notes).
Reflection:
我想像自己是其中一個門徒, 耶穌叫僕人去裝滿水缸,結果當那個非常世故的管筵席的人嘗了那水變的酒,居然跑去向新郎投訴說你倒把好酒留到如今！
當我們都見到水能馬上變成好酒, 就肯定這個不是一般人. 耶穌是誰？我們看見神的榮耀！
人看見神的榮耀唯一的反應就應該相信他是神. 今天我們也常常看到神的看顧, 他聽我們的禱告. 最近我會為沒有雨去禱告, 結果神讓我見到幾次下雨. 但當下雨的時候,心裏面就會有各樣的解釋, 例如天氣預報也有報告, 或者只是碰巧而, 沒有真的是把這個事情歸給是神聽我的禱告, 是神的作為. 就算有時真的相信是神的作為, 也未必在心裏對他有一個更強的信心, 沒有把所看見的事實, 化為我要他的關係更深的一步的机会.
求神幫助我, 當耶穌顯出祂的榮耀來, 就要信他！
v.13-25
Main point: Jesus showed that He was the Messiah v.16 (see NET notes) and therefore the temple was His Father’s house. The religious leaders had no right to change the use of the temple and made it for other uses. Therefore they were offended and challenged Him to show His proof. That proof was Jesus’ death and resurrection, the greatest miracle. However, those who saw that miracle and believed were not the religious leaders, but His disciples v.22.
Reflection: 想像我自己是耶穌,要到耶路撒冷去過逾越節,一個猶太人重要的節日,去記念神對他們的拯救.但去到了卻發覺神的聖殿給祭司挪用了去做其他的買賣. 原本神吩咐摩西建聖殿的時候, 聖殿是一個分別為聖的地方. 2:16b, 耶穌說, “不要將我父的殿當作買賣的地方。”我不知道當時的宗教領袖, 他們為什麼離開了聖殿原本的目的, 可能因為方便, 可能因為失卻了對神的敬畏, 但慢慢他們變得把聖殿用做其他用途也沒有所謂.
今天我想到什麼是神的聖殿給我挪用了作其他用途的?譬如教會本來應該用來傳福音, 訓練門徒,我有否把它變成一個社交場所?或者我的身體,原本應該用來榮耀神的, 現在卻只是為了保持自己的健康. 又或者神給我的人際關係,是用來培訓門徒,用來傳福音, 但是我們卻把這些關係當作得利益的途陘. 求神幫助我, 好似這個聖殿, 應該把人帶向神. 不要用它來作別的用途,只能給主用.
