Exodus 39

 (1) 39:42 The Israelites did all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses. 39:43 Moses inspected all the work—and they had done it just as the LORD had commanded—they had done it exactly—and Moses blessed them.

[and behold (in original language)  they had done it just as...] (NET) The deictic particle draws attention to what he saw in such a way as to give the reader Moses’ point of view and a sense of his pleasure: “and behold, they …”

The phrase, "just as the LORD had commanded Moses" was repeated in v.1, 5, 7, 21, 31,32, 42.

a. Not only they made the tabernacle, but they did it the way God had commanded. Again, this reminds me that our worship was not intended to be free-style. If we want to please God we have to do it the way God had commanded us.

b. What had they done before they did this? They had turned aside to worship the golden calf. Then God forgave them and confirmed with them the covenant. Now, they followed God's commandments again and they did exactly right to the point that Moses was amazed.
Do we treasure the second chance that God had given to us? We are all sinners and turned away from God. But now, God gave us the salvation shouldnt we do our best to please Him?

(2) 39:14 The stones were for the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, corresponding to the number of their names. Each name corresponding to one of the twelve tribes was like the engravings of a seal.

The clothings of the priests were the last articles that Bezalel made for the tabernacle. On the breastpiece were the 12 names on 12 pieces of jewels. In other words, the priests represented the people from all 12 tribes to come before God. Note, their names were engraved on precious jewels.  God saw His people as precious. Even though in real life they might not be so good, God saw them as precious.
In NT, believers' names were written on the Book of Life. We will not go through the second death. Thank God for treating us like precious jewels. Do we see other brothers and sisters as precious jewels?
