(2) Special words
The theme of this passage is love and obey. Jesus loved the Father and obeyed the Father v.31. Disciples were encouraged to love Jesus and obeyed His commandments. This passage helps us to define our love for God. It is not a warm fuzzy feeling in our heart. It is our dedication to follow to live in a certain way.
Reflection: Are you looking for an intimate relationship with God? There is no way we can any closer to God than God take residence in us. Do we follow the Holy Spirit when He helps you to follow the truth? Do we want to dedicate ourselves to follow God?
