Psalm 36

Overview: NET, Though evil men plan to harm others, the psalmist is confident that the Lord is the just ruler of the earth who gives and sustains all life. He prays for divine blessing and protection and anticipates God’s judgment of the wicked. v.1-4 the evil man He is rebellious, proud and his words and deeds are sinful and deceitful. v.2 for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin. If we assume that the pandemic is due to the consequence of our sins then the last thing we want to see is people who is too proud to recognize and give up our sins. May be pray that we will not have this attitude v.5-10 God judges the evil man and preserve the mankind through His justice Evil people are unavoidable but God will maintain the fairness. He protects the righteous and He tops it off by giving them plenty of food and water v.8-9. He shows His love to the faithful followers v.10. I am very thankful that in the midst of the pandemic our family is not short of food. We can pretty much can eat what we want and God has sustained our life. v.8 They are filled with food from your house, and you allow them to drink from the river of your delicacies. 36:9 For you are the one who gives and sustains life. v.11-12 Prayer and faith In v.11 David pray for protection and right the way in v.12 David seems to see the evildoers have fallen and knocked down already. David exercised his faith and described things as if it has already happened. 12 I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! They have been knocked down and are unable to get up!
