Ro 1

I was challenged by Paul when I read Ro 1:1 – the way that Paul introduced himself. Paul is a church planter, missionary, teacher, apostle, etc but the first title he uses for himself is “a servant (or slave) of Christ Jesus.” In Roman culture, a slave is not even a person but just a property of the master. But because of this title, Paul is submissive to his Lord to bring the gospel to Rome. Our obedience to God depends on how we see ourselves in front of God.
