1 Cor 2

Evangelism is a very popular subject in the Church today. We have books and seminars teaching evangelism. However, we should always remember evangelism is not a method of manipulation. Paul does not use “lofty speech or wisdom” when he evangelizes (1 Cor 1:2). Evangelism is about the gospel – “Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Cor 2:3). If the message is right, God will use the message to convert people. No one can be converted by reasoning because the message is folly them (1 Cor 2:14). It is only through the work of the Holy Spirit, people can understand the significant of the gospel (1 Cor 2:13).
