When the people accused Stephen speaking words against this holy place and the law (Acts 6:13-14), Stephen was going to show them it was their ancestors who rebelled the law and they were the cause of the destruction of the temple. Because the people who accused Stephen were their offspring, they shared the same character and did the same things now.
Acts 7:51 should be a warning to all of us. Are you stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, always you resist the Holy Spirit? The purpose of devotion is not only to gain bible knowledge but to be changed by God.
