Acts 27

When there is a disaster in front of Paul, even his life is in danger, Paul displays a very different response comparing to the crews. To say the least, Paul is anxiety-free. Anxiety is a sin because it is due to lacking of faith. Paul doesn’t know what he will go through but he knows God’s will must accomplish – he will testify before Caesar. So, he has peace. If we know God’s will in our life, we will also experience the peace that is not from this world.

Who took Paul to Rome? In the beginning of the chapter, Luke told us that it was the centurion (Acts 27:1). Paul is only a prisoner in his hand. That's why no one wants to listen to his opinion when he objects the move to Phoenix (Acts 27:9-12). At the end, we know that the one who really took Paul to Rome is the Lord (Acts 27:23-24). His promise is all fulfilled (Acts 27:44). God's Providence orchestrate the history. Last night we visit the Friday night youth fellowship. There are many challenges and we need to rely on the Lord, but I know for sure that God will not leave us alone.
