Acts 24

Can you not worry if you are in jail? If I were Paul, I’ll pray for my release and seek every opportunity to get out of the prison. Paul knows his calling is to preach the gospel and he even knows he will go to Rome to preach (Acts 23:11), but he is never anxious to be released.
In human’s point of view, Paul is in a bad situation. But it is not the case. Paul is in the safest place without the threat of persecution. He is allowed to see his friend and his need is provided (Acts 24:23). And he can also preach to the officials because they will seek him periodically. If we can trust and rest in God’s plan, we would not worry for tomorrow. There is not need for us to run ahead of God’s plan for God knows tomorrow and He cares for us.
