Acts 10

Chapter 10 is a milestone in Church history because the gospel is preached to Gentiles. In the past, if a gentile wants to be saved, he must first becomes a Jew (i.e. proselyte). Cornelius is the first one to become a believer without first being a Jew. Jews and the gentiles were not lawful to visit each other (Acts 10:24). The gospel was original for the Jews (Acts 10:26). But after the Jews rejected their King, the gospel is now available to all. God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him (Acts 10:35-36).
Many times we worry and do not know what to say when we share the gospel with others. But we can learn from Peter. There are several essential elements about the gospel: (1) Jesus is sent by God to preach the Good News (Acts 10:36); His crucifixion and resurrection (Acts 10:39-40); the future judgment (10:42); how can we be saved (Acts 10:43).
It is a very simple task and if we obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God will bring people He has prepared in advanced to us so that we can be Jesus’ witnesses.

When Peter is still speaking the HS came on the one who heard the message (Acts 10:44). The HS came to them in a visible form, i.e. they speak in tongues (foreign lanuages) just like the apostles did on the Pentocost (Acts 10:26-27). The same sign that the apostles had, they experienced that. In other words, they became a believer. When? When Peter is still speak. Peter did not even start to give the invitiation to believe in Jesus. God is at work when we share the gospel with others.
p.s. Tongues are the foreign lanuage just like what happened on Acts 2. The apostles spoke to the international group in Acts 2 and the same phenoenmenon happened again when God wants the apostle (and other Jews Acts 11:45) to recognize that God did the same to other people of other nations (Acts 11:34).
