Matt 8

In the incident of the leper (1-5), Jesus is a God who is willing to heal us. In the incident of the centurion (5-13), He is a God of authority. In the incident of Peter’s mother-in-law (14-17), Jesus is a God who bears our burden. With such a God lives in our heart, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" (26)

I think from v.34, we can see why it is so difficult to spread the gospel to some non-believers. Just like those people in that town, they knew Jesus has the power over demons, but they treasured their possessions more, they valued the pigs more than the two men, so they begged Jesus to leave. Sometimes I ask myself, 'Am I like those people? Though I've accepted Jesus, but do I refuse to listen to His advice? Am I really obedient all the time? Do I treasure things on earth more than things in heaven?....... ' Yeah, we are all sinners. That's why we need the Holy Spirit in us to guide us.
