Matt 4

The King of the kingdom comes and God the Father and the Holy spirit authenticate Him, "The is my Son..." What is the meaning of the "Son of God?" In chapter 4, Satan questions Jesus, "If you are the Son of God..." Jesus answers Satan not by His power (He does not perform any miracle), but by His obedience to God's words (v.4, 7, 10). You will find that Satan finally give up argue with Jesus about the Word of God, and argue about is He the Son of God (v.9). These 2 things are undeniable any more. Satan can only openly bride Jesus to bow down before him. When we are called the children of God (John 1:13), are we obedience to God's words just as Jesus? Yesterday, my coworker made me very upset. I prayer and I told God that I would not say anything if it is not His will. Then when my boss asked me the words just came out of my mouth. I knew God was not please. I did not obey His guidance, but found a way that I let my frustration ruled over me.
Jesus continues the ministry of John. He preaches the same message as he did (v.17 is the same as 3:2). "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." There is a selection process before the kingdom begins (3:11-12). Repentance is the requirement for the people to enter.  No other way that man can please the heart of God other than our own heart change (Audrey).
