Micah 7
There is a big contrast between v.1-6 and v.7. The rest of Israel is in a state of confusion but Micah said, "I watch in hope for the Lord." He is so sure that God will be their salvation. "...though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light (v.8)." Positive thinking? He even thinks that the Lord will forgive them! "Who is a God like you, who pardon sin and forgives the transgression... and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea (v.18-19)." Micah have no idea about the redemption in Jesus Christ. Only one thing he holds on to-the covenant with the forefathers (v.20). Actually he only knows the end result. He does not know the mechanism. He does not know how God can forgive them, but the faithfulness of God assure him that some how God will make it works!
Sometimes I do not know how God did it. It seems impossible that my work situation will change. But He did it! He keeps an eye on me and do not let me bear any temptation that I cannot bear with.
