Micah 5
The ruler of Israel will be stricked (v.1) and abandoned (v.3) while the ruler coming from Bethlehem will become their leader (v.2). Now we know the ruler from Bethlehem is Jesus Christ. He will rule like a shepherd and the people will live in peace (v.4). What a difference His rulership compare with others. Why can he do that? Because of His strength of the Lord (v.4b). The real peace cannot be made today because no one has that strength. All the enemies will be destroyed (v. 6-15). This is another reason why there is no peace today. Many nations have very strong power but not necessary follow the Lord. We cannot do anything to them now until the Lord comes back.
In the same token it is very hard to find peace among man today. What can we do to the sinners?
