Jonah 1
The lot fell on Jonah (v.7), and he explains to the sailors that his God is the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land (v.9). Obviously the question will be how to claims down the wrath of this God to save their lives (v.11). There should be another option other than throw Jonah off the broad (v.12), which is, Jonah repenting his sin and go back to Nineveh. But Jonah did not do that. Instead, he is the one who suggest others to throw him off. In other words, he is willing to die than to obey God.
May I never do such a thing to God when He clearly indicate me where to go and what to do.
