Obadiah
Obadiah speaks to the Edomites after the destruction of the Southern Kingdom (v.11-14). Facing the judgment from the Lord, the Edomites do not notice that because the pride in their heart deceived them (v.2). This is a big blind spot to them. Why do they allow that?
1. Because of their geographical advantage (v.3-4),
2. Because of their allies and friends (v.7),
3. Because of their wise men (v.8),
4. Because of their military power.
What have I done when I see a brother or sister fall? What have I done when I see my own family member fall? Will I perceive the severity of this sin of ignorance? Will I think that I will never be judged by the Lord because of my false security?
