Amos 9
The picture of one shaking with a sieve and do not let the pebble falling off with the finer grain is used to describe the impossiblity of escaping the judgment from the Lord (v.8-9). All the sinners will die, (v.9) just like what Paul said in Rom 6:23. It does not matter you like it or not, "Disaster shall not overtake or meet us (v.9)." The Lord is just and He is sovereign. Being judged or not does not depend on our own feelings.
