Minor Prophet

Amos 7
Amaziah, the priest of Bethel insult Amos and said, "Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there... (v.12) after Amos pleaded for their survive (v.1-9). He probably have no idea that the jugmenet words in v.11 is the least judgment they receive from the Lord after Amos pleading. In our heart do we appreciate others when they tell us the bad news. Do we ever realize that we probably deserved more? What is the result of not listening to harsh words? God Himself tells them the worse news."You say, 'Do not prophesy... stop preaching..." Therefore this is what the Lord says, 'Your wife... your sons and daughter... your land...and yourself... (v.16-17)." Not only the nations is ruin, but personally each one of them is judged. Now, shall we welcom the harsh words more when other warns us?
