Gen 44-45

The Bible does not tell us why Joseph treated his brothers like that. However, Joseph’s brothers was different from 13 years ago. They showed concern for Benjamin. Judah was ready to sacrifice himself for Benjamin. Maybe because of this reason, Joseph finally let them knew who he was. We can also see Joseph’s kindness when he said, “And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.” (45:5). He can forgive his brothers because he saw things in God’s perspective.
