These few chapters are like a repeat of chapter 25-30 but the point is “they made all that the LORD commanded Moses.” This repeated phrase shows how important it is that our service needs be done exactly according to God’s command. Also, Moses was the one who received God’s command in chapter 25-30, but it was the people who carried them out in chapter 37-40. A good leader is not the one who does every thing for the people but to lead the people to do the exact thing the LORD commands. As Exo 39:42-43 says, “According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the people of Israel had done all the work. And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, so had they done it. Then Moses blessed them.”
Finally, when we did according to God’s command, God would faithful to His promise – He dwells among His people and His tabernacle as 40:34 said, “Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.”
