God enjoys our offering but when we offer, God wants us to be willing (35:5). We offer not because we have to, it is because we want to. If you have taste the grace of God, God’s love will compel us to give back to Him our precious possession. You don’t have to be a wealthy people to give offerings to God. It can be “gold, silver, and bronze” but it can also be common thing like acacia wood, oil or animal skin. What God looks for is a “a generous heart” (35:5). We can also contribute our talent like Bezalel and Oholiab. However, the opportunity to offer to God is limited. If God moves us, we should not delay. Otherwise, when the opportunity is gone, you will be like people in Exo 36:6, “So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, "Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing”
