Exodus 28-31

Serving the LORD is a serious business in the Old Testament because if you are not careful, you may kill by God. It may take them a long time to dress up before they can serve God. I imagine when they dress up, each of the item will remind them special things. The breastpiece reminds the priest about the twelve tribes of Israel; the Urim and the Thummim bear the judgment of the people of Israel; the bells of gold in his garment reminds him the fear of God; the a signet of ‘Holy to the LORD” reminds him he is consecrated to the LORD. Serving God is a honorable task and may we serve God with the same respect and fear.
