Sometimes, I find food in my kitchen becomes rotten. Then, all I can do is to throw the whole thing away. We did this because of cleanliness. When people read the flood account, some may complain that God is cruel because He destroyed every living creature by flood. But we have to understand God’s holiness. God’s attitude to sin is similar to our attitude to rotten food. Gen 6:5 says, “The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” But before God’s judgment, He also provided the salvation through Noah. This is how God shows His kindness.
