When Abram gave up what he deserved, God rewarded him even more. When he let Lot to choose first, God told Abram later, “for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever.” (Gen 13:15). When Abram refused to take gifts from the king of Sodom (14:21-23), God told Abram, “your reward shall be very great.” God is our reward. Would you rather be poor in the world’s viewpoint but rich in God’s eye?
