Acts 28

The purposes of Acts are shown in the last chapter: the gospel was spread from Jerusalem to Rome; Christianity was not a thread to Judaism; because of the rejection of Jews, kingdom will transition to the church program.

My sharing: No matter how hard the Jews oppose God, He is always in control. He even uses opposition to carry out His plan. Let’s make sure we are living in God’s will because it is the safest place.

The descriptions about the Malta island is fascinating 28:1-10. This is like a prelude to Rom 1:19-20 and 2:14-15. Why does the native people say, "No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live v.4?" God does reveals Himself through general revelation. From the Scriptures, there is no conversation going on between Paul and the native. He does not even share the gospel with them. I have a speculation that he may not be able to speak very well their language. However, Luke choses to record this story to let us know that God has mercy and shown Himself to everyone.
