Acts 26-27

My sharing: When we think of peace, we picture a life without stress and obstacle. Everything happens according to our wish. However, peace from God is a very different thing. Paul has God’s peace with him which enables him to live without anxiety even after spending 2 years in prison. A peace that calms Paul and allow him to calm others in the middle of a storm. May the God of peace be with us all (Ro 15:33).

Have you ever think about why the people in the boat will listen to Paul, who is a prisoner at that time 27:27-36? Remember Paul tries to advise them not to go in v.9-13. Nobody pays attention to him. However, when the difficult time comes Paul tells them about the promises of God v.21-26 and they will listen now. In the difficult time men are more willing to listen. They come to the limit of human effort. Have you tried to pray for others so that they will face difficulties in lives? I have, especially for the unsaved friends. They need a to see their limits or a "wake up" call in their lives.
