Acts 12

My sharing: Sometime we don’t understand why persecution happening to us. However, God is always in control and He is sovereign. He let James died but rescued Peter and He punished Herod when the time was right. An the result of persecution is Act 12:24 But the word of God increased and multiplied. When we are in trials, let’s follow the 1st Christians’ example: “many were gathered together and were praying.” Acts 12:12

This is the 3rd time that Peter is put in jail (ch 4 and 5). Therefore, the security is maximum v.6. Herod means business. He really wants to kill Peter. However, he wants to wait for the right time-after the Passover. Why? In v.3, the Bible says he wants to please the Jews. Do I want to please others just like Herod? Do I do injustice to others just to please someone else?
