1 John 1:5-10
When we want to have fellowship with God we need to walk in the way that He is walking v.6-7. When God walks in the light we want to walk in the light, too. Light means totally clean from sin v.5. However, the Bible realizes that we all sins v.8-10. The only way to walk in the light is through Jesus Christ v.6b and 9. I think this passage reminds me that I want to be a Christian because I want to be near God. Second this passage reminds me that I want to walk in the light just like God through the blood of Jesus. I am clean when I was under the blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore when I choose what to do I will think is this something that can categorize as "light?" Will God walk in it? In that place can I keep my purity? Not only when I make decision about where to go but also what to think. Even I go to church on Sunday do I have the right thought in my mind? When I hand around with the "church people" do I keep the unity under the Spirit of God? Or do I see everything with their fault?
