Gen. 2:1-3
There are 2 things I have not noticed before about this passage.
1. The work is done before God rests. On one hand, we will know from this passage that no more new creations on earth will be done by God. We may see variation within specie but not new ones. On the other hand, God does not rest when He is not finished. He set a good example for us to work hard during the 6-day period. Lazy worker does not deserve the rest.
2. God blessed the 7th day and made it holy. What does it mean to called it "holy?" "Holy" simply means set apart. We set this day apart for God! In other words, rest from the work does not mean relax. It means work in the other realm. To put this day for other purpose-for God!
