Gen 12:1-8
When Abraham decides to move he may face 2 dilemma. First, his root in Haran (v.5). He has possession, people, and family in this place. In other word, he has settled down in Haran for a long time. No one want to move in that situation. Second, he wants to obey God's command: leave... and go... (v.1). To obey God has no middle ground. Abraham does not obey God half-way. He does not leave his family and possession in Haran and go first to where God want him to go. Then comes back and gets his family. He obey God full-heartedly. How do I obey God? Do I put aside my wish and follow His whole heartedly?
