2 Cor. 10:12-18
In the Corinthian church someone went after the false teachers and look down on Paul (v. 1-11). Therefore in v.12, Paul says he will not compare with them. One crucial point: Paul has reached to them and shared the Gospel with them (v.13-14). In other words they are the fruit of the labor of Paul! How can they now change and look down on Paul and follow the false teacher. They may speak in more fancy language or look more sophisticated (v.10). However, the fact is Paul is their spiritual father! How can they forget him? What do we consider to be more careful in our spiritual life? They mention the spiritual giants in the "Daily bread." I do not know who is your spiritual giant. Maybe they are really good. Not all the famous preacher are arrogant. Most of them are humble. The point is what standard do you use when you call someone as a "giant." Not because they are famous, not because everybody else says so, but they should be a real servant of God who explain clearly God's word to you and help you grow spiritually. I hope this blog will help you grow. Paul's word is also my prayer to all of you, "Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand (v. 15)."
