Col. 1:9-14
There are 4 areas that we can tell if one knows the will of God: bearing fruit in good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father (v.10-12). Many times when I think about knowing the will of God I relate to the decision in career, where to move... Those are the reasons why I want to "seek" God's will. However, the spiritual knowledge has a different perspective.
Again, God reminds me about the thankfulness to Him, in v.13-14. It is similar to the 1 Peter passage from yesterday. We can have inheritance in the kingdom because now we have turned from darkness to light, and our sins are forgiven. Maybe I do not have a lot of money, I do not know my future, I do not have very good health, but I can still thank God because of all the blessings He has bestowed on me!
