Heb. 10:8-18
Jesus has come to do the Father will (v.9), specifically, He died on the Cross to become the sacrifice. Also by the same will, we have been made holy (v.10) when we accept Jesus as our Savior. On one side the Father will is for Jesus, on the other side, it is for us. But the Scripture said they are the "same" will. I thank God for this word "same." With the same certainty that the Father has planned the death of Jesus, He has also planned for my salvation.
The author of Hebrew also mentions the "enemies" in v.13. Why? V. 14 starts with "because." I guess the enemies do not want us to be perfect forever. They are the opposing ones who want to accuse us before God. But they are waiting to be the footstool of Jesus. In other words, Jesus will for sure win the battle. Do we have this certainty? As mention above, our holiness is certain as the certainty of the plan of Jesus died on the Cross. How do we reflect this holiness in our lives today?
