Micah 1-2
Micah prophesizes to the Southern Kingdom during the time that the Northern Kingdom is going to be wiped out by Assyria. Starting in 1:6, Micah descibes the sins of the Northern kingdom. They worship the idols and was said to committed adultery in this sense v.7. Their wound is incurable and reach to Judah (v.9). One of the cities named, Lachish in v.13 reflect the sin of the Northern kingdom. In other words, not only the northern people worship idols, the south is doing the same (probably influcenced by the north). The south has a temple of God among them and supposed to be the worshipper of the God. However, they follow the foot step of the north. The North is facing the ruining of the Assyrian. In the future, the south will have the same result (1:16). What do we learn from others? Do we see the result of those who worhsip idol? Are we influenced by them and move away from our faith to God?
