12-18

Hos 8-10
In ch 8, Israel has similar conversation as in ch 6. This time, they cry out to God and say "My God, We, Israel, know you (v.2)." But God does not think so (v.3). Thier kings and leaders (v.4), God does not know. They worship idols that God hates (v.5-6). In other words, when we say we know God, our actions count. Regarding their religious life, they still go to the temple and offer their sacrifices (v.11), but they ignore the Law of God (v.12). If I just read the Bible and do not think they are relevant to me, I do the same thing as the Israelite.
