Daniel 7-9
There's a great temptation to explain all the visions in ch 7-8. However, I was moved by ch 9. Daniel is a refugee in the foreign land. Although he is the chief official in all these kingdoms, he suffers a lot. He has to ask in order to have his own perfence kind of food ch 1. He is called the refugee 5:13. However, he has no bitterness regarding his own country. He prays earnestly about the rebuilding of his country 9:1-3. He does not have bitterness regarding God. He knows clearly that the capture is caused by their sins 9:4-15. He identifies with his forefathers. No body likes to admit that he is wrong. Daniel does. Because of this, God reveals to him the greatest secret of mankind. Their future 9:24-27. The entire history from the time of Daniel until the end of this worl is included in this 70 weeks. Again it is a great temptation to try to explain this. But, the point is Daniel knows the future! God comforts him no only with the rebuilding after the 70 years of capture, but He gives him the insight for the remaining hisotry of mankind.
What have I done regarding my sins? Do I admit that to God? Do I like to blame others more than take up the responsiblity for others?
