12-11

Ezek 44-48
In the time of writing, Israel was captured by Babylon. Their home land, including their temple was ruined. The temple was built by Solomon about 400 years ago. In this passage, God gave a ver details instruction about the future temple, king, Levi (servants), sacrifice, the land of Israel and the 12 tribes.
(1) There is impossible to understand this passage as a metaphor for the church today. All these will be fulfilled in the future literally.
(2) This prophecy gives hope to the Israelites. Everything describes in this passage they do not have at that time. What they see is totally opposite. With faith they can live with their hope, and so do we. God aslo have a plan for our future. Can we live with that hope in our lives today regardless of the bad enviornment?
